Golf Clubs - Sketch to AI
Project type
Sketches, AI
Date
2021 to 2025
Golf club design is one of the most technically demanding categories in sporting goods; head geometry, face angle, center of gravity placement, hosel architecture, and surface finish all interact with performance in ways that require real category knowledge to design credibly. The tolerance for aesthetic decisions that don't earn their place is low, particularly at the tour and premium player tiers where every line and material choice is scrutinized by golfers who understand the product intimately.
The concepts shown here were developed from hand sketches and CAD foundations, with AI rendering tools used to rapidly visualize high-fidelity surfaces, material finishes, and CMF directions across irons, wedges, woods, and complete set concepts. The approach allowed for fast iteration across club typologies — testing face shapes, hosel transitions, cavity and muscle back geometries, and graphic applications — while maintaining the engineering rigor that comes from working in the category professionally.
That background matters here. My golf design work was developed during four years at Wilson Staff — designing tour-level irons, woods, wedges, and the latest generation of the iconic Wilson 8802 putter, with multiple products earning Golf Digest Hot List recognition. The concept work on this page builds directly on that foundation, exploring where the category can go next across premium players irons, game-improvement designs, and complete iron-through-driver set families.
I'm actively seeking engagement in the golf category.
