As category R&D lead at Cascade Maverik Lacrosse, I directed the design and engineering of Maverik's head portfolio across offensive, defensive, and women's categories. This page documents several heads developed over a six-year period, each progressing from sketch ideation through parametric CAD, physical prototyping, field and lab validation, and final production.
The work culminated in the Maverik Optik 3, which became the number-one selling lacrosse head on the market after launch. That outcome didn't happen by accident. It was the result of running industrial design and engineering in parallel from day one, conducting competitive benchmarking at every stage, and refining geometry and stringing architecture through extensive player testing before a single tool was cut.
